Stacey Cagan

Stacey Cagan serves as a Parent Advocate at the Coalition 4 Self Direction (C4SD), an initiative of Families for Disability Rights, Inc. (FDR), a pending 501(c)(3) organization where she also sits on the Board. Driven by her experience as a mother to two boys, one of whom has I/DD, she passionately advocates for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, aiming to secure a brighter future for her son and others facing similar challenges.

Prior to her role at C4SD, Stacey earned her B.S. in Fashion Design and Marketing from Syracuse University and enjoyed a successful career as a fashion designer for over 20 years. In 2015, she helped establish Richman Law and Policy, her husband’s law firm, where she contributed significantly—from research and development to client relations and administration. Recently, she has stepped into an Advocacy Liaison role at the firm.

Outside of work, Stacey explores her creative side through painting, drawing, and discovering new artistic pursuits such as pottery.
